Huntsville, Ala., October 2024—Technical Micronics Control, Inc. (TMC), a leading provider of precision chemical cleaning, tube bending, and panel fabrication is excited to announce it delivered a first-of-a-kind Portable Directed Energy Cleanroom Kit (PDECK) to the U.S. Army under a subcontract for RCCTO. PDECK is a rapidly deployable and fully reusable ISO Class 7 cleanroom spacious enough to house large Directed Energy systems. Within the Class 7 cleanroom an ISO Class 5 space allows technicians to service subsystems requiring a highly controlled environment that has specific requirements for air quality, airflow, and temperature. This summer, PDECK was successfully used to rapidly repair systems in the field thereby preventing the need to transport the system to another location which reduced down time and improved operational readiness.
